When did you decide to be a performer? How long have you been a performer?
I first began working in sex work in 2018 at about 20 years old. So I’ve been a sex worker for roughly 5 years.
How would you describe your work - like are you a content creator/cam girl?
I would describe myself as a sex worker. Sex work is a wide umbrella term and I dip my toes in many areas, like camming, filming, sexting and more!
How did you choose your stage name?
Well, my birthday is in April *and people often mistakenly called* me by that name in my vanilla life. I liked the play on the common phrase “April Showers bring May flowers” so really it was just from a marketing perspective. While that’s my stage name my social media accounts are mostly all @peachycreamx for consistency. The “peachy” because I love peaches, “cream” for reasons you can see in my content :)
What sites are you currently on? Where can you be found?
I am mainly on Twitter @peachycreamx and instagram @peachy.creamx for promo and to allow my fans to keep up with me! Onlyfans and Sextpanther *(@peachycreamx)* are the main sites I work on, as well as direct sales from places like twitter!
How have you found performing so far? as in experiences?
Sex work is a big industry. I became a sex worker because I struggle with my mental health, something I’m very open about with my fans! Having a job that allows me to make my own schedule, set my own rules etc is incredibly helpful and important to me! I only work for myself and don’t often film with other people, so overall my experience in the industry has been wonderful! Not all customers are wonderful, but that comes with any job! I can’t speak for everyone but my experience with this job isn’t something I’d give up or change for much of anything! I love what I do and having a job that works for me!
What is your mindset when you are creating, filming, acting?
My mindset when making content varies. I truly do have a wonderful relationship with many of my clients, so my mindset is usually based around making people happy and feel good! It’s important to get into character too!
What does it mean to you personally to be April Showers on a day to day basis?
Being April Showers really just means being me! I got into this job because I like the basics of it, the marketing, the creativity, making people feel good and fulfilling their desires. Everything I do in my job are things I truly love doing in my personal life. Being April Showers means I can allow a wide range of people to see me, being me!
How do you spend your day?
My work days vary like anyone with a job. Some days are spent focused on filming, some on promotional and marketing content, some on talking directly with my clients in various ways, usually they’re a combination of all of this!
In your personal opinion, what is the worst? As in socially/culturally or is it the financial institutions stigma associated with the adult industry?
In my opinion the stigma on sex work is the most unfortunate piece of the job. People assume it takes no real talent, that it’s easy, that it’s all just fun and sex. This job is fun but it’s hard work and every single sex worker, whether disabled, white, black, transgender, 20 or 65 deserves respect. It’s a job, and we are all human!
This stigma can also lead to difficulty with regular life, like judgmental health care workers, impacts on dating lives, and even difficulties finding housing due to our proof of income!
Do you have a favorite type of music? And what are your hobbies outside of being a performer?
I have many hobbies! Two that got me into this job are photography and marketing! I also love crafts and art like painting and working with resin. I love the beach, listening to music like The 1975, and I’m a huge Mets fan! When I’m not working, and sometimes when I am, The 1975 or the Mets are usually playing nearby. I love spending time with my dog and spending time outside!!
How do you see yourself with your projects compared to when you started out and also in 10 years from now? Where do you plan to go from here?
When I first started this job I had no idea if I would be successful with it or truly love it. But as time went on I figured out what a wonderful fit it is. I have begun to dive into areas I didn’t expect at first and provide content I didn’t imagine making at first, but I’ve loved every bit of the journey. My hope is to simply keep meeting the goals I make along the way, and create the happy life I know I want and deserve! I plan to continue working for myself, and would be open to more collabs with other creators in the future.
